Literatur und Podcast
27.06.2024In June 2024, the chair of Modern German Literature is hosting an interdisciplinary conference titled Literatur und Podcast: Inszenierungsformen – Rezeptionsmodelle – Wissenskommunikation (Literature and Podcast: Forms of Staging – Models of Reception – Communication of Knowledge).
The main focus will lie on the intermedial connections of literature and podcast, a phenomenon which so far has received little scholarly attention despite its contemporary relevance within the media landscape. The format of the podcast will be regarded from a variety of perspectives, highlighting it, among other things, as a room of communication, discourse, and knowledge transfer, but also as a kind of “gatekeeper” within the modern literary scene.
The Chair of English Literature and Cultural Studies will be represented by Professor Kirsten Sandrock, who will speak on “The Isle is Full of Noises” – Shakespeare’s Podcast Globe on Friday.
The conference will take place from Thursday, June 27 to Saturday, June 29, at the Schelling-Forum (Klinikstraße 3, 97070 Würzburg).
