This interdisciplinary conference explores the complex interplay between artistic approaches to global migration, their specific medial contexts as well as their epistemic foundations. It investigates how the artistic/imaginative portrayals of migrants and migration and the construction of knowledge about migration interact and how imagination relates to the lived realities of migration more generally.
Since the papers circulate in advance, the conference is conceptualised as a closed events. However, you are invited to join us for the public events during the conference.
Public events: Artist Intervention by Charl Landvreugd (Rotterdam, NL), Keynote by Ananya Jahanara Kabir (London, UK), and Reading and Discussion with Olumide Popoola.
