Mobile Feminisms: Gender, Social Media, Transnational Connections
05/05/2023What happens when feminism goes mobile, traveling across time and space as well as medial frameworks and cultural repertoires? The transnational project “Mobile Feminisms: Gender, Social Media, Transnational Connections” will explore these questions in seminars, workshops and further collaborative endeavors between the Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg (JMU) and Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) New Delhi
Our project kicks off with an intensive seminar week with featured presentations at JMU Würzburg in summer term 2023. If you are interested in joining our discussion with Prof. Dr. Simi Malhotra (Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi) or with Dr. Jennifer Leetsch (Universität Bonn), please reach out to us! Nina Wintermeyer (Mobile Feminisms Project Assistant): nina.wintermeyer@stud-mail.uni-würzburg.de; or Prof. Dr. MaryAnn Snyder-Körber: maryann.snyder-koerber@uni-wuerzburg.de.
“Mobile Feminisms: Gender, Social Media, Transnational Connections” is cross-funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Indian University Grants Commission (UGC). We further thank the the Office of the University’s Women’s Representative (UFB) for hosting our intensive seminar week and featured presentations in May.
