Symposium: Bridging the Epistemic Gap between Linguistics, Literature, and Pedagogy

Transnational Perspectives and Intercultural Practices

Under conditions of war in Ukraine, there is an urgent need for sustainable development of current and further academic cooperation between German and Ukrainian Universities. This Symposium is a first step to foster effective collaboration in the fields of linguistics, literature, and pedagogy.
The Ukrainian Universities in exile (Vasyl’ Stus Donetsk National University (DonNU), Mariupol State University (MSU), and frontline higher educational institutions - Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University (ZPNU) and Zaporizhzhia National University (ZNU) were chosen as partners for this international academic project launched by JMU, TEFL Department and Slavic Studies Department, and funded by BAYHOST in terms of Mobility Grants 2023, and DAAD, Ostpartnerschaften.
